Choosing the right Trash Lock version depends completely on your needs. If you are dealing with Black Bears then you absolutely want to look at the Original Trash Locks. These are also great if you have a serious raccoon problem as they are more secure than the Adjustable. If you are having an occasional small critter problem, or your trash being knocked over by wind or bad drivers, then the Adjustable should work just fine.
