Trash Lock Original
Primacy Solutions' Trash Lock straps are designed to secure your trash in a garbage can with a hinged lid. Each Trash Lock strap is permanently attached to the can with stainless steel nuts and bolts. Properly installed they will keep rats, dogs, raccoons, possums, and other animals out of your trash. They make it difficult for black bears to gain access, so they will move on to an easier food source.
The garbage can locks can be undone and re-secured with one hand. Eliminates the need for bungee cords and other tie-downs to keep your trash where it belongs. If you have problems with wind/weather tipping your trash, or someone backing their car into it, these garbage can lock straps will keep the trash bin where it belongs, eliminating a messy cleanup.
The straps are made from high-strength polyester, the buckles have a break-force of nearly 300 lb-force, and the nuts and bolts are all stainless steel.

Bears still ripped the lids off by breaking hinges on my neighbor's cans that had these. I installed mine but did not leave my garbage can out overnight. Estimating a bear that weights 300+ and is an expert at raiding garbage cans.
I saw the review you left on our website and I wanted to see if we could help rectify the issue with the bears. We have done extensive testing with our Trash Locks and take every issue we are made aware of seriously.
Unfortunately, not all trash cans/carts are created equal. Can you send me pictures of your neighbors' trash and your carts and I may be able to identify the manufacturer? Also, is the cart supplied by your local waste company?

There’s a mama bear and two cubs prowling around the neighborhood. We got hit last week and of course we didn’t have the Trashlockers on yet. I’ve installed them since, and she didn’t come around since the trash can was still vertical.
Trashlockers work great,they are easy to install, and so far no bear has been able to break into our garbage totes.
Just do it.
Completed easy installation this week. Put the trash out for the first time with new straps. Trash can lid destroyed when a pickup truck ran over it. Trash locker buckle was completely unharmed.
