Haw Creek Community Association was awarded as the first recipient of a shipment of Ultimate Black Bear Trash Locks through the BearSafe program. Securing the trash in the community will encourage black bears to forage in their natural habitat.

I have always been the type of person who tinkers and finds solutions to different problems. As a kid, when my parents threw out a washer or other appliance, I was out at the curb to take it apart before the trashmen would show up. It is incredible how much there is to learn about animals (especially bears) when it comes to keeping them out of the trash.
